Greubel Forsey has introduced a new edition of the Balancier 3, limited to 22 pieces, continuing the evolution of the movement first presented in 2023. The watch is housed in a 41.50 mm Convexe titanium case, shaped to follow the curvature of the wrist. This latest version introduces a new finishing technique within the Atelier: a hand-frosted titanium bridge, treated across its curved surface with a steel brush, creating a more pronounced matte texture within the movement’s architecture.

The Balancier 3 remains defined by its structural clarity. Three prominent bridges—the barrel bridge, balance bridge, and central bridge—organize the display and mechanical functions into a legible composition. Hours and minutes are mounted on the central bridge, which extends toward the rotating small seconds display, while a power reserve indicator is visible on the movement side. The architecture is framed by a curved sapphire crystal and variable-geometry bezel, maintaining continuity between case and calibre.

The movement consists of 282 components and is regulated by a 12.60 mm variable-inertia balance wheel with six gold mean-time screws. Power is delivered by two series-coupled fast-rotating barrels, providing a 72-hour reserve. In this edition, polished titanium bridges for the balance and barrel contrast with the newly frosted central bridge, while varying hues of blue introduce additional depth and visual contrast across the movement.
