DELMA Unveils New 1924 Tourbillon Editions in Signature Blue and Salmon Guilloché Dials

All my favourite colours

Following the success of the DELMA 1924 Tourbillon, released in celebration of the brand’s centenary, DELMA proudly presents two exquisite new editions. These latest iterations feature captivating grains de riz guilloché pattern dials in DELMA’s signature blue and an elegant salmon hue, elevating the artistry and craftsmanship of this distinguished timepiece. As a testament to Swiss precision and heritage, the new DELMA 1924 Tourbillon continues the brand’s legacy of innovation and refined watchmaking.

Having had the opportunity to see the 100th Anniversary Edition last year in Geneva, I hope to experience these stunning new models firsthand when I return in the coming weeks.

An Evolution in Excellence

Every DELMA watch is crafted with meticulous attention to both style and performance, and the 1924 Tourbillon stands as an elite example of this dedication. These new editions mark a subtle yet significant evolution, celebrating a century of horological excellence while embodying the brand’s continued commitment to fine watchmaking. At the heart of this series lies DELMA’s proprietary 100% Swiss-made Caliber DT100.01, a movement that defines the brand’s progress and tradition.

Exquisite Details and Superior Craftsmanship

The refined DELMA blue and salmon guilloché dials introduce a new level of depth and sophistication to the 1924 Tourbillon. Rich in nuanced detail, the textured patterns beautifully complement the mesmerizing tourbillon movement at six o’clock. Palladium, nickel-plated applied hour markers and hands, enhanced with white Super-LumiNova® BGW9, ensure exceptional legibility in all lighting conditions.

Tonneau case

At the core of the timepiece, the tourbillon’s gravity-defying escapement and regulating organ rotate within a cage, completing a full revolution every 60 seconds. Powered by the hand-wound Caliber DT100.01, this movement boasts an impressive 105-hour power reserve. Unlike conventional index-regulated balances, DELMA’s tourbillon features a variable-inertia balance for superior accuracy. Further reinforcing durability, the movement incorporates a shock absorption system capable of withstanding forces up to 5000 G and remains resistant to magnetic fields up to 2000 gauss, thanks to non-magnetic components including an alloy hairspring and Glucydur balance wheel.

A Showcase of Traditional and Contemporary Finishes

The 1924 Tourbillon’s movement is a masterpiece of Swiss watchmaking. The baseplate is adorned with perlage, while the bridges—visible through the exhibition case back—feature elegant Côtes de Genève finishing, golden text, and a contemporary ruthenium-treated dark gray finish. Blued screws further enhance the aesthetic, paying homage to classic horological craftsmanship.

Encased in 316L stainless steel, the 41mm case balances brushed surfaces with polished beveled edges for a refined contrast. A protective crown guard enhances the robust yet elegant design, while the crown’s textured grip ensures ease of use.

Stainless Steel Bracelet

Versatility

The DELMA 1924 Tourbillon 2.0 is offered on a stainless-steel bracelet with a deployant clasp, and each piece comes with an additional hand-made Italian calf leather strap with a folding clasp. Quick-release spring bars allow for effortless strap changes, ensuring versatility for any occasion.
