Integrated Bracelet Sports Watch
The MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns is one of those watches that quietly impresses the moment you put it on. At just 9.5mm in height, it disappears on the wrist in the best possible way, aided by an integrated rubber strap that makes for an effortless fit. There’s an ease to wearing this watch that makes it feel like a natural choice for daily wear, especially as the weather warms up.
More than a decade ago, the brand released the Multifort Two Crowns Automatic Skin Diver. This newest iteration has some notable improvements in both appearance and tech.

Key Features of the MIDO Multifort 8 Two Crowns
Case and Materials
The stainless steel case measures 40mm in diameter with a lug-to-lug length of 44.86mm, making it versatile and comfortable on the wrist. A mix of satin-finished and polished surfaces gives it a refined yet sporty look. The screw-down back and crowns, including a blue PVD-treated crown at 2 o’clock for setting the rotating flange and another at 4 o’clock for adjusting the time, add to its functional design. Water-resistant up to 100 meters, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns is built for both everyday wear and outdoor adventures.

Octagonal bezel
A standout feature is its octagonal bezel, crafted with eight polished facets contrasted against a satin-finished surface. This geometric detail enhances the watch’s visual appeal, creating a dynamic play of light and reflections. The two eight-sided crowns (colour-matched with the dial) further reinforce this design theme, echoing the bezel’s bold identity.

Crystal and dial
A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures optimal readability. Beneath it, the matte blue dial features horizontal lines that add subtle texture, while baton indexes—round and trapezoidal at the quarter-hours—create a three-dimensional effect. White Super-LumiNova® ensures excellent visibility in low-light conditions, applied to both the hour markers and the faceted hour and minute hands. A discreet date window at 3 o’clock adds everyday practicality.

One of the most distinctive elements is the internal rotating bezel, controlled by the crown at 2 o’clock. This 60-minute calibrated flange allows for countdown timing, a feature reminiscent of diver’s watches and first seen in MIDO’s 2002 All Dial Diver and the 2013 Multifort Two Crowns. It’s a rare but highly functional complication that enhances the watch’s versatility.

Movement
Powering the Multifort 8 Two Crowns is the MIDO Caliber 72, a modified ETA A31.111 automatic movement. With a diameter of 25.60mm and a thickness of just 3.85mm, it remains remarkably slim while offering an extended 72-hour power reserve. The movement operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5 Hz) and features a Nivachron™ balance spring, providing enhanced resistance to magnetism and shocks. The transparent case back reveals the elaborate decoration and MIDO logo, a testament to the brand’s attention to detail.

Strap and Wearability
The integrated blue rubber strap features relief motifs that create subtle reflections, adding to its sporty aesthetic. It comes equipped with quick-release spring bars for easy strap changes. While the standard version includes a pin buckle, I would have loved to see a deployant clasp option, as it would suit the watch’s sporty elegance and enhance functionality.

Final Thoughts
With the Multifort 8 Two Crowns, MIDO introduces “Technometry”—a fusion of technology and geometric design. The octagonal bezel, structured dial, and dual-crown functionality combine to create a bold yet highly wearable sports watch. The Caliber 72 movement brings modern performance, while the lightweight case and integrated strap ensure comfort on the wrist. Whether in the city or outdoors, this is a watch that feels equally at home. A deployant clasp would be a welcome addition, but even as it stands, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns delivers a compelling mix of innovation, style, and practicality.

Fabulous watch . The photography does an outstanding job in creating an appropriate background for this work of art. Colours are sumptuous. Nice work.
Really glad you like it. I think this will prove a big hit from MIDO.
Would this watch wear well on a 6.25 inch wrist?
My wrist is 6.75 inches, if that helps. The integrated style certainly helps it wear smaller.
