OMEGA Introduces the Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer

All the time in the world

OMEGA expands its Worldtimer lineup with a bold new addition to the Seamaster Planet Ocean collection. Since 2017, the Worldtimer has been a standout within the Aqua Terra 150M range, admired for its mechanical complexity and distinct aesthetics. Now, that same innovation takes on a new form, housed in black ceramic and built for adventure.

The Calibrated Wrist had the opportunity to review the Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer in the metal last year, and this latest iteration looks to be just as impressive.

A Planet Ocean Take on the Worldtimer

Drawing inspiration from the Planet Ocean Deep Black, the new Worldtimer models feature a 45.50mm case crafted from brushed black ceramic [ZrO2]. The ceramic bezel integrates a laser-ablated diving scale, polished in positive relief for a seamless finish.

Worldtimer display

At the heart of the dial is the signature Worldtimer display. A detailed vision of the Earth, viewed from above the North Pole, is laser-ablated onto a grade 5 titanium surface and finished with varnish. A 24-hour scale encircles the continents, dividing night and day beneath hesalite glass. The outer section of the dial, finished in DLC black, is further enhanced by a laser-ablated honeycomb pattern.

Two Distinct Variations

OMEGA introduces two variations of the Planet Ocean Worldtimer, each with its own character:

A model with turquoise varnish, featuring hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova. It is paired with a black structured rubber strap, accented with turquoise stitching and secured with a ceramic and ceramised titanium foldover clasp.

A model with grey varnish, featuring hands and indexes filled with OMEGA’s new grey Super-LumiNova. It shares the same black structured rubber strap but includes a grey underside.

Surrounding the dial, a ring of global destinations allows for easy time zone tracking. Alongside iconic cities from around the world, OMEGA includes its hometown of Bienne at GMT+1.

Built for Depth and Precision

The Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer is powered by the automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, visible through the sapphire crystal case back. True to the Planet Ocean name, it offers an impressive 60-bar (600m / 2000ft) water resistance, reinforcing its capability as a serious dive watch.
