After three years of development, YEMA unveils its latest 3-hand manufacture calibre, and it’s promising an exceptional chronometric precision, an impressive power reserve, and a robust resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.

The Manufacture Calibre CMM.10
Some of the movement highlights include an accuracy of -3/+5 seconds/day, along with a 70-hour power reserve. It will employ a Nivaflex mainspring (a proprietary alloy from Nivarox), which should prove far more durable and elastic than carbon steel—allowing for a longer life and better amplitude balance. Many components have also been constructed from largely non-magnetic alloys, such as the Glucydur balance wheel, which is also highly resistant to thermal expansion and corrosion. It has 27 jewels and a 4Hz beat rate. Aesthetically, is has undergone a galvanic treatment to unify the appearance in a dark grey coating.

As the brand has done in the past, YEMA will be crowdfunding support for the research and development of its calibre, with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign on November 10th. This campaign will also introduce the inaugural Superman Bronze models featuring the innovative CMM.10 calibre.

These latest iterations of the Superman will be available in two dial colours: gradient blue and lacquered black. True to recent trends, YEMA will also offer both in 39mm and 41mm sizes. Each Superman Bronze CMM.10 model will be produced in a limited edition, with only 1,948 individually numbered pieces—to reflect the founding date of the brand, 75 years ago.

The Superman Bronze dials have been updated to showcase French inscriptions and the newly introduced “MANUFACTURE FRANÇAISE” signature, positioned at 6 o’clock. This change reflects YEMA’s evolving identity, as a producer of in-house components, such as the CMM.10 calibre.

The exhibition case back–fashioned from sapphire, like the dome–allows for an unobstructed view of the new CMM.10 calibre. Despite the display, the watch will continue to offer its traditional 300m of water resistance.

Another evolution in the design appears in the hands, where the emblematic “shovel” seconds has been replaced by a lollipop sweep—reflecting the shape of the hour markers—which adds a degree of balance to the dial.
The watch will also sport a custom designed FKM Tropic strap. It comes equipped with a matching buckle.
On November 10th, pricing for the YEMA Superman Bronze CMM.10 will start at €999. For more information, visit the brand website or Kickstarter page.
