Canadian independent brand Doussot Watches has launched its Kickstarter campaign for the ONAMI Founder Edition, the debut timepiece from Montréal industrial designer Laurent Doussot. Limited to 300 individually serialised examples, the automatic dive watch pairs a forged 316L stainless steel case with a sandwich dial, a unidirectional internal rotating bezel, and a Miyota 9039 automatic movement regulated to ±5 seconds per day. A separate Low Tide edition offers the same core architecture in a simplified package at a lower price point.

The ONAMI measures 43.19mm in diameter, 48.8mm lug-to-lug, and 13.1mm thick, with 200 metres of water resistance provided by a pair of screw-down crowns and a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Four dial variants are available at launch—Black Sea, Andaman Sea, Sunset, and the limited Red Sea Magma—each featuring a layered sandwich construction with sunburst and fumé finishing, complemented by either BGW9 or C3 Super-LumiNova depending on the model. Development was carried out in partnership with Wiegand Custom Watch LLC, with final assembly completed in Hong Kong before each watch is shipped to Montréal for regulation, quality control, and packaging.
Founder Edition backers receive exclusive packaging that includes a two-watch travel case, engraved metal warranty card, and a second premium strap matched to the selected model. The Kickstarter campaign is scheduled to conclude ahead of an estimated November 2026 delivery, with worldwide shipping included.
