Elliot Brown Expands the Beachmaster Quartz Collection

By Brent Robillard

Black & Blue

Elliot Brown has never been shy about pushing the limits of what a modern tool watch can be. The British brand’s Beachmaster line, built around a patented dual-bezel mission timer, has already earned a reputation for rugged utility with military inspiration baked into every detail. Now, the brand is expanding the Beachmaster Quartz collection with two new brushed steel models that combine the original concept with an even more versatile daily-wear aesthetic.

Key Features of the Elliot Brown Beachmaster Quartz

Case and dial

The new versions arrive in a 40mm brushed stainless steel case that retains the Beachmaster’s distinctive split-sector design while softening the overall look with polished detailing and a satin finish. Beneath a domed sapphire crystal, the dial options present two distinct personalities: a crisp, light-catching sunray blue that leans into maritime character, and a matte black execution built purely for legibility and low-reflection performance. Both feature a subtle wave graphic that nods to the Beachmaster’s amphibious assault heritage, while the luminous detailing—X1 C3 and BGW9 Super-LumiNova—ensures clarity long after the sun has gone down.

Movement and unique bezel design

At the heart of these models is the Swiss-made Ronda 515.24H quartz movement, chosen for its reliability and independently adjustable GMT function. It is this GMT hand, in tandem with Elliot Brown’s patented mission-timer system, that gives the Beachmaster its unique edge.

The system pairs an external ceramic 60-minute unidirectional countdown bezel with an internal bi-directional “H-Hour” bezel that locks into place with spring-loaded ceramic ball bearings. The result is a tool that allows the wearer to set a countdown to mission start, roll automatically into elapsed timing, and track a second time zone—all at a glance.

                Rugged, mission-ready construction

As with the rest of the Beachmaster family, durability sits at the core. Each watch is water resistant to 300 metres and individually tested, with an internal shock protection system safeguarding the movement. Twin knurled crowns at two and four o’clock manage the dual bezels and are built with the same screw-down security expected from a true professional dive watch.

The watches are delivered on a cut-to-fit rubber strap with a matching double-fold deployant clasp, while Elliot Brown’s easy-change strap bar system ensures future swaps are simple and secure. There is also a brushed steel bracelet option.

                Final Thoughts

“From D-Day inspiration to daily use, the Beachmaster was designed to be the mission timer you’ll actually use,” explains co-founder Ian Elliot. It’s a fitting description for these new brushed steel models in black and blue, which broaden the appeal of the collection without compromising its original purpose. By offering a choice between the bold flash of sunray blue and the stealthy functionality of matte black, Elliot Brown has created two new iterations of the Beachmaster Quartz that feel equally at home in extreme conditions or as part of a daily rotation.
