Farer Durham Pullman: The Green Machine
The watch world is full of bright and vibrant dial colours, but of all the dial colours, I rarely see dark green. Farer has, once again, stepped forward with another gorgeous, cushion-cased timepiece featuring some green goodness in the NEW Farer Durham Pullman.

Inspired by History
Like most watches in the Farer catalogue, the Durham Pullman borrows inspiration from a historical moment or brand. Based on the original Farer Durham, the Pullman Edition takes its inspiration from the Pullman company– a manufacturer of train cars. Pullman would paint their train cars a specific shade of dark green, thus earning the name “Pullman Green.” The Farer Durham Pullman sports Pullman Green and other striking colours to create an eye-catching aesthetic, possibly the best implementation of green I’ve ever seen on a watch.

Elegant Dial
The dial is a rich and luscious dark green, featuring a brushed metallic finish, allowing the dial to change colour slightly depending on the lighting and angle. On top of the base dial sits a raised ring with a radial brushed finish, creating the usual sector dial effect seen in the Cushion Case collection. Applied on the ring are high-polished markers, which feature a mix of batons and Roman numerals and are paired with a set of high-polished dauphine hands. The contrast of green and silver creates an elegant design that can be worn daily or for a black-tie event.

Excellent Proportions
If there’s one thing Farer does well outisde of colour, it’s case sizing and dimensions. The Durham Pullman sports a 38.5mm case with a 43.8mm lug-to-lug and a case thickness of 10.5mm, creating a compact and comfortable watch on the wrist. The entire case is polished and features few flat spots, allowing for fantastic light reflections and distortion from every angle. Bringing the Durham Pullman to life is the beautifully decorated Swiss Made Sellita SW216-1 Elaboré Grade movement, featuring blued screws with a bespoke Farer-embossed patterned bridge.
The Durham Pullman retails for $995 with a leather strap or $1,165 with a bracelet. For more information, feel free to check out Farer.
