MB&F is a brand known for its technological advancements, engineering prowess, and pushing the limits of watchmaking. In October 2011, after establishing itself through four HM, or Horological Machine, line variations, the brand unveiled a watch that rocked the watch world and pushed the envelope of mechanical timekeeping and beauty, the Legacy Machine 1 or LM1.
Fast forwarding through multiple variations of the LM and a decade later, the LMX would be released to commemorate the 10-year run of the Legacy Machine.

In 2023, MB&F decided to bring the LMX back in beautiful form. In celebration of MB&F and their long-standing relationship with the owner of the Paris-based boutique, Chronopassion, Laurent Picciotto. Being one of the first retailers to support MB&F in 2005, Laurent is a pioneer in independent watchmaking and has been a significant supporter of MB&F since the beginning.
As a thank you, a variation of the LMX was created–the LMX “Paris Edition,” or, as Laurent calls it, the LMX “Deep Purple.”

Laurent Picciotto
“If I were to give a name to the LMX Paris Edition, I would undoubtedly call it the ‘LMX Deep Purple’ in reference to the famous 1968 rock group – this piece is definitely rock ’n’ roll!”

The Paris Edition features the same mechanical beauty as previous LMX variations: the three-dimensional movement comprised of 367 components, 7-day (168 hours) power reserve, independent two timezones displayed on two dials, hemispherical power reserve indicator, and the beautiful domed sapphire crystal with AR coating on both sides. In addition to the already gorgeous aesthetic of the LMX, the Paris Edition features a stunning purple sunray dial plate, hence Laurent’s nickname, the LMX Deep Purple. The Paris Edition wouldn’t be complete without its 27-component, 44mm 18k white gold case.

Loud, bright, and proud, the LMX Paris Edition screams rock & roll and separates itself from other watches in the MB&F catalogue. The watch will be available exclusively through Chronopassion in beautiful Paris. The retail price is EUR 122,000 (= EUR 146,000 including VAT.)
