Formex has introduced the Essence Ceramica 41 mm Dark Matter Redshift at Windup Watch Fair New York. The new edition pairs a predominantly sandblasted zirconium oxide ceramic case and bracelet with diamond-polished accents, including a narrow facet along the lower bezel. Its solid Muonionalusta meteorite dial receives a black-gold galvanic treatment that preserves the material’s natural Widmanstätten pattern. A red seconds hand, dial lettering and chapter-ring markings contrast with the dark surface, while gunmetal hands and applied indices carry BGW9 Super-LumiNova. A bevelled date window sits at six o’clock.
The case measures 41 mm across, 11.2 mm thick and 46.2 mm lug to lug, with a screw-down crown and 100 metres of water resistance. It retains Formex’s patented Case Suspension System, while the ceramic bracelet’s clasp provides 5 mm of tool-free adjustment with the clasp closed. Inside, the COSC-certified Sellita SW200-2 Power+ automatic movement replaces the previously used Soprod Newton P092 and delivers up to 65 hours of power reserve. Sapphire crystals cover the dial and exhibition caseback, and a quick-release system allows the bracelet to be exchanged for optional rubber, nylon or leather straps.

Production is limited to 100 watches annually, with the inaugural series individually numbered 001 to 100. The Formex Essence Ceramica Dark Matter Redshift is priced at CAD $5,500 on the ceramic bracelet and is available through the Formex Online Boutique and select authorized retailers. First shipments are expected at the end of November 2026. A three-year international warranty is included.
