Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26”

C26

There’s a certain rhythm to Tudor’s involvement in motorsport now. Each season seems to bring with it a new chronograph tied to the grid, and for 2026 that watch is the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26.” And the timing feels bang on. With the Canadian Grand Prix just around the corner—and the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls team off to a strong start this season—this release lands right when interest in Formula 1 is beginning to peak again.

Key Features of the Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 26”

Case and dial

If last year’s “Carbon 25” set the tone, the “Carbon 26” refines it rather than rethinking the formula. The case remains 42mm and fully rendered in carbon fibre, including the tachymeter bezel and even the end-links attaching the hybrid strap. It’s a material choice that makes sense in this context. Less weight, better wearability, and a direct visual link to the cars themselves. The connection to the 2026 VCARB 03 comes through most clearly in the dial, where flashes of yellow break up the otherwise monochrome “racing white” layout and carbon sub-counters.

The overall design still sits comfortably within the Black Bay family. Snowflake hands, first introduced in 1969, remain front and centre, filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility. The dial layout sticks with Tudor’s familiar chronograph format as well, including a 45-minute counter and a date at six o’clock. The pushers take their cues from early Tudor chronographs, while the case profile keeps the bevelled lugs and crown design collectors will recognize. It’s a watch that balances its racing cues with the brand’s established dive watch DNA rather than abandoning one for the other.

Movement

Inside is the Manufacture Calibre MT5813, a COSC-certified chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It offers a 70-hour power reserve and uses a silicon balance spring, and Tudor regulates it beyond standard COSC tolerances once cased. The movement itself is based on Breitling’s B01 architecture, though finished and adjusted to Tudor’s specifications—a collaboration that has now become a familiar part of the brand’s modern chronograph story

Limited Edition

As with last year’s model, this one will be limited—2,026 pieces in total, each individually numbered on the caseback. It’s a neat way of tying the watch to the season without overcomplicating the narrative. More broadly, it continues a thread Tudor has been pulling on for decades. From the brand’s racing efforts in the late 1960s to its current presence in Formula 1, the chronograph remains one of the clearest expressions of that connection.

Final Thoughts & Pricing

For a Canadian audience, the context adds another layer. With Montreal about to take centre stage on the F1 calendar, this is exactly the kind of release that will resonate a little more here.

The new watch retails for $10,770 CAD (or $8,625 USD). For more information, check out the brand website.
