Dark side of the watch
If the Sector II Field Titanium was Nodus’ vision of a modern field watch, the new DLC Limited Edition (LE) is its stealth-mode counterpart–stripped of colour, fortified with armour, and built to go unnoticed until someone stares at your wrist.
The Los Angeles–based brand has made a habit of releasing thoughtful, purpose-built evolutions of its existing platforms, and this one is no different. The Sector II Field Titanium DLC LE takes everything that made the standard model such a capable daily companion and cloaks it in a Diamond-Like Carbon coating, transforming a lightweight tool watch into something even tougher.

Key Features of the Sector II Field Titanium DLC Limited Edition
Titanium, reinforced
Titanium has long been prized for its strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, and comfort on wrist. But it’s not without its detractors – typical complaints include its tendency to pick up scratches faster than stainless steel.
Nodus tackles that head-on by adding a muted DLC layer across the bead-blasted case, bezel, crown, and caseback. The result is a finish that feels utilitarian yet refined, giving the 38mm case a uniform, shadowy texture that looks at home whether you’re trekking through the backcountry or slipping it under a cuff.

At just 45 grams for the watch head, the Sector II Field Titanium wears light but doesn’t compromise substance. Its proportions (38mm wide, 47mm lug-to-lug, 11.7mm thick) hit that sweet spot of field watch practicality – compact, balanced, and easy to live with.

Form follows function
Every decision here seems driven by utility. The screw-down crown and 100 meters of water resistance make it a true all-terrain companion. A box sapphire crystal with internal blue anti-reflective coating keeps legibility high and glare low, while BGW9 Grade A Super-LumiNova ensures readability long after the sun sets.

Under the hood, Nodus sticks with a dependable Seiko TMI NH38 automatic movement–a no-date calibre regulated in-house to ±10 seconds per day. It’s not flashy, but it’s robust, serviceable, and aligned with Nodus’ philosophy of efficient design: using the right components in the right way.

Built on the Sector philosophy
The Sector platform has always been about adaptability–a modular design language that allows Nodus to build watches capable of taking on new personalities without losing their underlying purpose. It’s why the same core mid-case architecture can support dive, pilot, and field variants, all while feeling distinct.
The brand’s co-founders often describe the Sector Series as a watch that can “defy the depths, summit the peaks, and go wherever life takes you.” In the DLC Limited Edition, that philosophy feels distilled to its most elemental form. Everything superfluous has been stripped away. What’s left is a pure expression of utility–a field watch rendered in monochrome, ready to disappear into any environment.

A strap that seals the deal
Nodus pairs this edition with a new Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) Hybrid TecTuff® strap–an evolution of their popular rubber strap that blends durability with comfort. The upper surface uses TecTuff®, a high-performance coating that resists abrasion, oil, and water, while the underside is made of flexible NBR rubber. The integrated camouflage pattern adds a subtle visual break from the all-black case, grounding the look without sacrificing its tactical edge.
Quick-release spring bars, precision stitching, and a matching titanium buckle make the setup feel complete.

Limited, not restrained
Only 75 pieces of the Sector II Field Titanium DLC Limited Edition will be made, each priced at $575 USD.
At a glance, the DLC LE might seem like a simple colour variant. But in practice, it’s a quiet study in refinement and intent–a field watch that trades visibility for versatility. It doesn’t shout; it operates in silence, designed to perform without drawing attention to itself.
In other words, it’s Nodus doing what they do best: evolving a proven platform not for hype, but for purpose.
